چکیده
ECR Spotlight is a series of interviews with early-career authors from selection papers published in Journal Experimental Biology and aims to promote not only the diversity researchers (ECRs) working experimental biology during our centenary year but also huge variety animals physiological systems that are essential for ‘comparative’ approach. Cristian Riveros-Matthey an author on ‘ The effects crank power cadence muscle fascicle shortening velocity, activation joint-specific cycling’, JEB. PhD student lab Timothy J. Carroll at University Queensland, St Lucia, Australia, investigating self-selected movement patterns under optimal control theory.

The relative apportionment of hydrocarbons (HCs) coming from mobile, fixed, and other sources (not correlated either to carbon monoxide [CO] or sulfur dioxide [SO2] emissions as solvent evaporation and biogenic sources) is calculated as previously proposed by Riveros et al.1 through the linear approximation [HC] total = [HC]0 + m1 [CO] + m2 [SO2], where m1 and m2 are fitted constants. The obtai...

My research is situated at the interface of algebraic combinatorics, representation theory, algebraic geometry, and algebraic topology. It focuses on developing new combinatorial structures and methods for computation, particularly related to the representation theory of Lie algebras and modern Schubert calculus on flag manifolds. Thus, my work is part of the current trend in mathematics which ...
متن کاملA Spotlight on Spotlight
In this paper, we have made an attempt to take a look under the hood of Spotlight and understand some of the following questions amongst others: • How well-integrated is Spotlight with the file system? • How reliable is the interface between Spotlight and the file system? • Is live update a myth or a reality under heavy file system activity? Based on our experiments, it seems that Spotlight is ...
متن کاملCristian Lenart, Schubert Calculus Beyond K-Theory
Modern Schubert calculus has been mostly concerned with the study of the cohomology andK-theory (including their equivariant and quantum generalizations) of flag manifolds. The basic results for other cohomology theories have only been obtained recently; additional complexity is due to the dependence of the geometrically defined classes on reduced words for the corresponding Weyl group elements...
متن کاملOn a Theorem of Solovay Cristian
We present a proof of the following result due to Solovay: There exists a noncomputable 2 real x such that H(xn) 6 H(n) +O(1):
